AFC Conference Championship: Denver 35 Baltimore 21

Denver Beats Baltimore 35-21  please review xbx and html. Broncos Advance to Super Bowl 49 against winner of Green Bay or Seattle .  Good game Keith.  Peyton Manning throws for 320 yards and 5 TD's to help lead the Broncos to victory.  The game was knotted at 21-21 mid way through the 4th quarter but 2 late Manning TD tosses , both to Demaryius Thomas, clinched the victory.

NFC Conference Championship: Green Bay 49 Seattle 30

The Green Bay Packers defeated the Seattle Seahawks 49 - 30 to win the NFC Championship game and earn the right to represent the NFC in Super bowl 49.
In the first half, the lead went back and forth and Seattle lead 17 - 14 with 1:55 left in the 2nd quarter, Packer QB Aaron Rogers then marched the Packer 90 yards in 9 plays in 1:41  to score and take the lead 21 -17, on a 59 yard TD pass to WR Randall Cobb. The TD not only gave the Packers the lead at the half, but also the momentum which they never gave up. The Packers scored 28 unanswered points in the second half before Seattle's Offense could get on track. The final score Green Bay 49 - Seattle 30. Game MVP QB Aaron Rodgers completed 27 of 43 passes for 363 yards 5 TDs  and 1 Int. In the Super Bowl the Packers will face the Denver Broncos and QB Payton Manning. My congrats to Steve Fisher on a great season with the Seahawks.

NFC Divisional Playoffs - Seattle 17 Philadelphia 16

A defensive battle in the first half and the Eagles leading 3-0. Russell Wilson errant pass and 49 yard Nate 1:39 left in the 2nd quarter giving Philadelphia a 10-0 halftime lead. Seattle took the 2nd half kickoff and drove 80 yards on a Marshawn Lynch 6 yard TD run to cut the lead to 3. A  field goal on the next drive tied the game. In the fourth, the Seahawks intercept Mark Sanchez to the 9 yard line and 3 plays later Wilson finds Jermaine Kearse for a 7 yard TD pass. For a 17-10 lead. Darren Sproles 91 yard punt return with 1:37 left in the game put the Eagles a point back. Going for 2, Sanchez incomplete pass kept the Eagles down 17-16. After a 3 and out Sanchez last second pass was intercepted to end the game. Nice game called by Dennis Rhoads.

NFC Divisional Playoffs - Green Bay 38 San Francisco 10

The cold and snow of  Lambeau Field, Green Bay, and the Packers were too much for the 49ers as the Packers win 38 - 10 and advance to the NFC Championship game..
Game MVP Packers QB Aaron Rodgers completed 21 of 25 for 321 yards and 2TDs . Next week the Packers will face the winner of the Eagles and Seahawks game.

AFC Divisional Playoffs - Buffalo 18 Denver28

Denver 16-1 advances to the AFC  Conference Championship against Baltimore Ravens 15-3
Buffalo started out with a 6-0 lead, controlling Denver as a slow starting bunch.   Getting into the 2nd quarter , the Broncos got it going leading 21-9 at half.  Exchanging 3 field goals for the BILLS  FOR 3 TOUCHDOWNS for the Broncos.3rd quarter , Buffalo kicked another field goal and Manning connecting to Hilman on a 7 yard pass leading 28-12 end of the 3rd quarter. With 3:21 left Orton connected to Watkins for a 75 yard pass touchdown  ending the game, 28-18.
Kyle Orton was 18 completions for 35 attempts 252 yards 1 TD 84.5 QB rating. Denver was led by Peyton Manning with 24 completions out of 36 attempts for  294 yards 4 TD, and a quarterback rating 117.1  2 TD Demarius Thomas 7 for 126 yards. Good game Steve.    

AFC Divisional Playoffs - Houston 24 Baltimore 30

The Baltimore Ravens held off the Houston Texans 30 -24 to advance to the AFC Championship game.
Baltimore RB Justin Forsett ran for 180 yards on 34 carries and 2 TDs, and for the Texas RB Arian Foster ran for 101 yards on 20 carries.
Next week the Ravens will face the winner of the Buffalo vs Denver game.

NFC Wild Card San Francisco Takes down New Orleans in Thriller 34-31

Collin Kaepernick threw for 265 yards and 3 TDs and rushed for 60 yards to help upset the higher
seeded Saints 34-31.  A back and forth battle proved to be one of the best wild card games of the weekend saw each team put up over 400 yard each of net offense.  The Saints did lose the turnover battle 3-1 that may have proved to be the deciding factor in the outcome.  After recovering an onside kick, New Orleans had a chance to win the football game with 1:37 left to play.  But Drew Brees would cough up the ball which was recovered by the Niners to secure the win for SF.

NFC Wild Card Detroit 20 Philadelphia 26

Philadelphia took a 20-3 going into the 4rh quarter and held on to defeat the Detroit Lions 26-20 at Lincoln Financial Field.  Matt Stafford had the Lions clawing their way back into the game when he hit Megatron on a 5 yard TD pass, with just 1:51 to play in the game, to narrow the lead to 23-20.  But after recovering a Lion onside kick, the Eagles were able to put a dagger in the Lions with a late field goal and will move on to the NFC Divisional title game.  Mark Sanchez was game MVP throwing for 208 yards and 1 TD.

AFC Wild Card Buffalo Slips Past Pittsburgh 34-27

Buffalo overcame a 24-7 Pittsburgh lead in the 3rd quarter to defeat the Steelers 34-27 at Ralph
Wilson Stdm.  3 turnovers by the Steeles and great special teams play by the Bills helped Buffalo clinch the victory.  CJ Spiller took home game MVP honors with 6 kickoff returns for 180 yards including a 96 yard TD in the 3rd quarter.

AFC Wild Card Houston Trounces Kansas City 27-3

Arian Foster rushed for 144 yards but it was QB Case Keenum that took home game MVP honors
(20-34 passing for 191 yards and 1 TD) as Houston defeated Kansas City 27-3.  Houston rolled up 336 net offensive yards to KC's 116 and easily moved on to the AFC Divisional Playoff Game.
